Sponsor Guide

ApacheCon North America Sponsor...

Thank you for your support of ApacheCon North America 2014 in Denver, CO this April. This guide will provide you with all of the information you need to enhance your sponsorship of the event with your sponsorship benefits. In addition to a recap of the benefits provided to you, and how to utilize them, this guide also includes all the information you’ll need to participate in the Technology Showcase. Fulfilling Your Sponsorship Benefits…

1. Logo on Website, Conference Guide and Sponsor Signage

Your logo should already appear on the event website. If you would like to make a change to either the graphic file, or the url it is directed to, please email that request to Maresa Fowler at maresa@linuxfoundation.org. We may contact you if the logo we have on file is not of a high resolution print quality.

2. Sponsor Attendee Passes

Please note that each sponsorship level receives the following number of complimentary passes, which you may use for employees of your company, or gift to customers or colleagues. To register Your passes, select “Sponsor Registration” and enter the unique discount code that was forwarded to you via email from Maresa Fowler.  

  • Diamond: 15
  • Platinum: 10
  • Gold: 6
  • Silver: 3
  • Bronze: 1

Please note: Each sponsor company has a different access code that has been emailed directly to each main sponsor contact by Maresa Fowler, to be distributed accordingly. If you need your sponsor code resent, please email maresa@linuxfoundation.org

Anyone from your company that is speaking at the event should use the speaker discount code that they received from our Program Manager.

3. Company Description on Event Website

Diamond, Platinum, Gold & Silver sponsors are entitled to a 150 word company description with url to their company website on the ApacheCon North America 2014 event website.  Please send your verbiage and link to Maresa Fowler at maresa@linuxfoundation.org.

4. Inclusion in PR & Social Media Announcements

Diamond, Platinum, Gold & Silver sponsors will receive designated recognition in all PR and social media announcements promoting ApacheCon North America 2014.

5. Pop Up Banners (Supplied by Sponsor)

Diamond, Platinum, Gold, and Silver sponsors are welcome to bring Pop Up Banners to ApacheCon North America  2014 to display at the conference.  Please note that each sponsorship level is able to bring the number of banners outlined below:

  • Diamond - 6
  • Platinum - 4
  • Gold - 2
  • Silver - 1

Please email Maresa Fowler by Wednesday, March 19 and let her know if you will be utilizing this beneft, and if so, whether you plan to bring the banners with you or have them shipped to the conference.

6. Collateral

Diamond, Platinum, Gold & Silver sponsors will have the opportunity to distribute one piece of collateral in the conference attendee bags that will be handed out at registration. Please let Maresa Fowler know by Wednesday, March 19th if you would like to take advantage of this opportunity and what you plan to include.

All collateral should be shipped to the Freeman warehouse after March 10th. Detailed shipping instructions can be found in the Freeman guidelines starting on page 2. (Exhibitor Guide.pdf)

Please note on each box the total number of packages (ie box 1 of 3) and mark as “CONFERENCE BAG COLLATERAL” so that we can be sure all items are received.

7. Speaking Opportunity

Diamond and Platinum sponsors have the opportunity to address the ApacheCon North America 2014 audience during a keynote session (10 minutes for Diamond, 5 minutes for Platinum).  If you have not already had your speaking opportunity fulfilled, please contact Angela Brown at angela@linuxfoundation.org.

8. The Technology Showcase

On the following pages, you will find all of the information you need to participate in the Technology Showcase this year, including:

Technology Showcase Location

Please see maps below for a layout of the conference space, and the Technology Showcase displays. Sponsors will be assigned a display location and notified of that location by March 21st. The displays will be visible during all conference hours. While you are not required to staff your booth for the duration of all hours, it is encouraged to have a display of some sort in place the whole time.

Conference Hours

  • Monday, April 7th: 8:00am - 7:30pm
  • Tuesday, April 8th: 8:00am - 5:30pm
  • Wednesday, April 9th: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Set-up Hours:

  • Sunday, April 6th: 5:00pm - 7:00pm
  • Monday, April 7th: 7:00am - 8:00am

Tear-Down Hours:

  • Wednesday, April 9th: 4:30pm - 6:00pm

Display Design & Décor

Below please find booth sizes and counter sizes per sponsorship level.  

  • Diamond: 20’x10’ space with (2) 6’ counters
  • Platinum: 10’x10’ space with (2) 4’ counters
  • Gold: 10’x10’ space with (1) 6’ counter
  • Silver: 8’x6’ space with (1) 4’ counter
  • Bronze: (1) 4’ counter

Each counter includes kick panel graphics and (2) stools. You may provide a custom graphic for your counter(s) or we can place your full color company logo (with white background) on the front.

If you would like to provide custom graphics, the print sizes are:

  • 6’ Counter: 67-9/16” x 33”
  • 4’ Counter: 47-7/8” x 33”

Side panels can be customized for an additional fee and dimensions are listed above as "Side A".  Please contact Maresa Fowler for pricing.

YOU MUST CONTACT MARESA FOWLER BY WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19TH WITH YOUR DISPLAY CHOICE. IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE YOUR SELECTION BEFORE THE DEADLINE, WE WILL ASSUME THAT YOU WILL BE DECORATING YOUR OWN AREA AND THAT YOU WILL NOT REQUIRE ANY DISPLAYS TO BE PREPARED BY US.

Booth AV

Each display includes two electrical outlets and wireless internet access. If you require additional A/V equipment, power, or hardlined internet, please order from PSAV using the order form (Exhibitor Service Request Form.pdf).

Security & Storage

Our Technology Showcase is taking place in the foyer area of the hotel and is not a lockable space. Should you require overnight storage for any of your items, please visit the Information Desk onsite and we will be happy to provide locked storage for you.

With that said, The Linux Foundation, Westin Denver Downtown, Freeman, nor any employees or staff of these organizations can be held liable for lost or stolen items.

Lead Retrieval

Sponsors can order lead retrieval devices ($200 each) by contacting Maresa Fowler at maresa@linuxfoundation.org.  Please let Maresa know by March 19th if you would like to order any scanners.
