There are so many opportunities for additional education and networking this year with our co-located events.  Some are included with your registration, and some have a small additional fee - but all provide a great value!

Enlightenment Developer Day

Sunday, October 20th - 9:00am to 6:30pm - Located at the Sheraton Grand Hotel
The legendary E17 was finally released last year along with EFL 1.7, but development didn't just stop there. Join the Enlightenment Developer Day to find out more about Enlightenment, including where it's heading and how it can help you. This is the second Enlightenment Developer Day, sponsored once again by Samsung, and it will embrace a larger community; we have scheduled presentations and panels not only targeted at existing developers, but also towards users and as-yet-uninvolved-but-still-interested new developers. OpenDaylight Mini-Summit

Tuesday, October 22 - 11:00am to 5:30pm - Located at the EICC
The OpenDaylight Mini-Summit is a one-day track, with presentations introducing OpenDaylight and SDN, architecture and the first code release, and technical dives into virtualized networks, consistency models, and more.  

The OpenDaylight Project, an open source Collaborative Project at The Linux Foundation, aims to accelerate adoption of software-defined networking (SDN), creating a more transparent approach, fostering new innovation and reducing risk by developing a common, open SDN framework consisting of code and blueprints. Learn More

Open Compute Engineering Workshop

Monday, October 21st & Tuesday, October 22nd - 9:00am to 6:00pm - Located at the EICC
The ultimate goal of the Open Compute Project is to spark a collaborative dialogue. We’re already talking with our peers about how we can work together on Open Compute Project technology. We want to recruit others to be part of this collaboration — and we invite you to join us in this mission to collectively develop the most efficient computing infrastructure possible.

KVM Forum & oVirt Workshop

Monday, October 21st - Wednesday, October 23rd - Located at the Sheraton Grand Hotel
KVM is an industry leading open source hypervisor that provides an ideal platform for datacenter virtualization, virtual desktop infrastructure, and cloud computing. Once again, it's time to bring together the community of developers and users that define the KVM ecosystem for our annual technical conference. We will discuss the current state of affairs and plan for the future of KVM, its surrounding infrastructure, and management tools. So mark your calendar and join us in advancing KVM.

GStreamer Conference

Tuesday, October 22nd & Wednesday, October 23rd - Located at the EICC
The GStreamer Conference is a conference for developers, decision-makers, and anyone else interested in the GStreamer multimedia framework and open source multimedia.

Tracing Summit

Wednesday, October 23rd - Located at the EICC
It focuses on the tracing area, gathering people involved in development and end-users of tracing tools as well as trace analysis tools. The main target of this one day conference is to provide room for discussion between people in the various areas that benefit from tracing, namely parallel, distributed and/or real-time systems, as well as kernel development.

Yocto Project Developer Day

Wednesday, October 23rd - 9:00am to 6:00pm - Located at the EICC
The Yocto Project Developer Day is an all-day event, free for LinuxCon + CloudOpen attendees, that showcases the Yocto Project and how to use it in practical terms. Two tracks are available, one for those new to the project and one for those already experienced with and using Yocto Project. Each track includes a half day of technical presentations and a 1/2 day of hands-on time in our new "lab", a virtual private cloud to which users connect using their own systems - so bring your laptop. This is your chance to meet core Yocto Project developers and maintainers and learn all about the project and how to use it.  We'll be giving away a few BeagleBone Blacks and MinnowBoards as well.

Gluster Workshop

Thursday, October 24th - Located at the Sheraton Grand Hotel
GlusterFS is an open source, distributed file system capable of scaling to several petabytes (actually, 72 brontobytes!) and handling thousands of clients. In this workshop (presented by Red Hat), attendees will learn about the Gluster project's history, roadmap and architecture. Presentations will include a deep dive into the latest release of GlusterFS, GlusterFS from the Systems Administrator's perspective, Gluster FS as a development platform and Storage in OpenStack and oVirt environments. Attendees will also be treated to use case talks from organizations using Gluster in production.

Embedded Linux Conference Europe

The Embedded Linux Conference Europe (ELCE) is the premier vendor-neutral technical conference for companies and developers using Linux in embedded products.
