LinuxCon Europe

Automotive Linux Summit

October 24th & 25th

Gluster Workshop

October 24th
GlusterFS is an open source, distributed file system capable of scaling to several petabytes (actually, 72 brontobytes!) and handling thousands of clients. In this workshop (presented by Red Hat), attendees will learn about the Gluster project's history, roadmap and architecture. Presentations will include a deep dive into the latest release of GlusterFS, GlusterFS from the Systems Administrator's perspective, Gluster FS as a development platform and Storage in OpenStack and oVirt environments. Attendees will also be treated to use case talks from organizations using Gluster in production.

Xen Project Developer Summit

October 24th & 25th
The Xen Project creates an industry leading open source hypervisor that is powering some of the largest clouds in production today. During 10 years of development, Xen has been used for many different use cases covering datacentre and server virtualization, cloud computing, desktop virtualization,  security for desktop computing and within hardware appliances. The Xen Project Developer Summit, brings together the Xen Project’s community of developers and power users for their annual developer conference. The conference is about sharing ideas and the latest developments, sharing experience, planning, collaboration and above all to have fun and to meet the community that defines the Xen Project.

GStreamer Conference

The GStreamer Conference is a conference for developers, decision-makers, and anyone else interested in the GStreamer multimedia framework and open source multimedia.

Tracing Summit

October 23rd
It focuses on the tracing area, gathering people involved in development and end-users of tracing tools as well as trace analysis tools. The main target of this one day conference is to provide room for discussion between people in the various areas that benefit from tracing, namely parallel, distributed and/or real-time systems, as well as kernel development.

KVM Forum & oVirt Workshop

October 21st - 23rd
KVM is an industry leading open source hypervisor that provides an ideal platform for datacenter virtualization, virtual desktop infrastructure, and cloud computing. Once again, it's time to bring together the community of developers and users that define the KVM ecosystem for our annual technical conference. We will discuss the current state of affairs and plan for the future of KVM, its surrounding infrastructure, and management tools. So mark your calendar and join us in advancing KVM.

Yocto Developer Day

October 23rd, 9:00am to 6:00pm

The Yocto Project Developer Day is an all-day event, free to ELC-E attendees, that showcases the Yocto Project and how to use it in practical terms. Two tracks are available, one for those new to the project and one for those already experienced with and using Yocto Project. Each track includes a half day of technical presentations and a 1/2 day of hands-on time in our new "lab", a virtual private cloud to which users connect using their own systems - so bring your laptop. This is your chance to meet core Yocto Project developers and maintainers and learn all about the project and how to use it.  We'll be giving away a few BeagleBone Blacks and MinnowBoards as well.

Open Compute Engineering Workshop

The ultimate goal of the Open Compute Project is to spark a collaborative dialogue. We’re already talking with our peers about how we can work together on Open Compute Project technology. We want to recruit others to be part of this collaboration — and we invite you to join us in this mission to collectively develop the most efficient computing infrastructure possible.
