We are excited to welcome you to OpenIoT Summit 2016 in San Diego, California! San Diego is California's second largest city, known for its idyllic climate, 70 miles of pristine beaches, and an array of world class attractions. With a population of 1.3 million residents, there are 18 incorporated cities and numerous charming neighborhoods and communities including the historic Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, Coronado, Carlsbad and La Jolla - just to name a few. The most difficult decision to make regarding a visit to San Diego is what to do and see!
San Diego Fun FactsSan Diego produces more avocados than any other place in the United States! The city imports an estimated 80 to 90 percent of its water, totaling 168 million gallons a day. The San Diego Zoo was heavily shown in the 2004 Will Ferrell movie "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy." However, the scenes were filmed at the old Los Angeles Zoo and not the San Diego Zoo as depicted! San Diego International Airport is the busiest one runway airport in the United States and second busiest in the world. The weather might be a dream, but the traffic sure isn't! The average motorist spends a grueling 256 hours a year sitting in the car. |
