Logo on Event Website and Onsite Branding

Your logo will appear on the Open Source Summit Japan website(s) and sponsor event signage. If you would like to make a change to either the graphic file, the URL it is directing to, or to your company description, please email your request to Courtenay Pope at and Tina Krauss at

Please provide a high-resolution outlined vector logo (.ai or .eps format) by Friday, April 28 to ensure your logo will display clearly on all onsite branding.


Sponsor Registration Passes

Your Diamond sponsorship includes (20) complimentary sponsor passes, which you may use for employees of your company, or gift to customers or colleagues. To register, please go to - choose "Sponsor Registration" and enter your unique company access code.

Anyone from your company that is speaking at these events should use the speaker access code that they received from our Event Content Manager Jillian Hall - please do not register speakers using your sponsor access code.


Speaker & Media Reception Passes

Your Diamond sponsorship includes (10) complimentary passes to the Speaker & Media Reception. This is an exclusive invitation-only event taking place at the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba from 6:00pm - 9:00pm on Thursday, June 1. Your Reception passes may be used by any of your conference attendees. To register for the Reception, please add your Reception code in the "Speaker & Media Reception" section of the Add-on page when registering for the conference.

Editorial Interview and Article on

Increase awareness of company news/stories by working with The Linux Foundation on an interview and article that will be posted on within one month of the event ( receives over 1 million unique visitors each month). Please view the Sponsor Guidelines for full details and timelines.

In order to maximize the value of event sponsorship articles for promoting an event and its sponsors, we recommend that articles publish at least two to three weeks in advance of the event date. In order to guarantee this, sponsors must settle on a topic and format for the article no later than five weeks in advance of the scheduled event (in this case Monday, April 24).

For a Q&A article, interviews with a sponsor company’s chosen representative must be conducted no later than three weeks in advance of the scheduled event (in this case Monday, May 8). After these milestones have passed, we will do our best to publish in advance but cannot guarantee it. All event sponsor articles will be published no later than one month after the event has concluded.

15-Minute Keynote Speaking Opportunity

Diamond sponsors have the opportunity to present a 15-minute keynote at the conference pending Program Committee approval and The Linux Foundation signoff on content. Please work directly with Jillian Hall, our Event Content Manager, to finalize all details for your speaking opportunity. Pre- or Post-Conference Email Blast

Diamond sponsors have the op­por­tu­nity to send (1) per­son­al­ized email (text only) to registered conference at­ten­dees (opt-in only) before or af­ter the event.

Please note: The Linux Foun­da­tion can­ not share at­tendee con­tact in­for­ma­tion and thus will send out the email on each spon­sor's be­half. Pre-conference emails will be sent be­tween Monday, May 22 - Thursday, May 25 only and post-conference emails will be sent between Monday, June 5 - Thursday, June 8 only. No sponsor emails will be sent the week of the events.

Onsite Recognition During Opening Keynote Session

Diamond sponsors will be recognized and thanked in the Opening Session on Day 1 of the conference.


Recognition in Pre-Conference Email Marketing

Your company logo and URL will be included in all pre-conference email marketing that is sent to conference attendees. 

Social Media Promotion of Sponsorship

Diamond sponsors receive (4) social media mentions from the LF Events Twitter handle before, during and/or after the event. Please contact our PR Manager Dan Brown at to schedule your tweets.


Sponsor Designation in Press Releases

Diamond sponsors will be recognized in the body of all event press releases.


Assistance with Press Bookings at Event

Shared Meeting Room

Diamond sponsors will have access to a meeting room that is shared with other sponsors. The room can be booked for (1) 2-hour meeting or (2) 1-hour meetings from 8:00am - 5:00pm, Wednesday, May 31  - Friday, June 2. If you would like to reserve a time slot for your private use, please contact Courtenay Pope at and Tina Krauss at


Collateral Distribution

Diamond sponsors will have the opportunity to provide collateral for conference attendees. The collateral will be laid out in a prominent spot near registration. Collateral production and shipping are the responsibility of the sponsor. Please let Courtenay Pope at and Tina Krauss at know if you will be shipping collateral to the event and send over all shipment tracking numbers.


Keynote Stage Branding

Diamond sponsors will have their company logo prominently displayed on all keynote stage screens.


Access to Event Press/Analyst List

Diamond sponsors will have access to the list of confirmed event press and analysts attending the event. The list will be shared 2 weeks prior to the conference.


Exhibit Booth

Diamond sponsors receive a 10' x 10' booth space at the Sponsor Showcase. Please see the floor plan to select your preferred booth location. Please send your preferred location to Courtenay Pope at and Tina Krauss at by Friday, April 28. Each booth space includes the following items:

  • (1) W1800 counter with custom graphics on front panel
  • (2) chairs
  • (1) triple socket power strip (100V/500A)
  • Conference wireless internet

Lead Retrieval Scanners

As a Diamond Sponsor, you will receive (3) lead retrieval devices. Lead scanners may be picked up at the Registration Desk on Wednesday morning after 8:00am and must be returned on Friday afternoon by 4:00pm.
