CNCF’s Statement on Texas' Senate Bill 6 (the so-called "Bathroom Bill")
Cloud Native Computing Foundation is preparing to host its CloudNativeCon + KubeCon North American event in Austin, TX. Given recent legislation under consideration in Texas, it is necessary to respond and be clear regarding our code of conduct policy.
We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for participants at all of our events. Harassment based on gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion will not be tolerated. This includes dictating what bathroom a transgender (or any) attendee may choose to use. We actively enforce this code at all our events.
With the conference planning well underway, we are unable to cancel or switch venues. We also want to support attendees that value this event and have already booked travel to work with their industry peers to advance cloud native computing. We have worked with the Austin Convention Center, along with all additional supporting vendors and venues, to ensure our code of conduct will be enforced not only by us but also by the venue. CNCF has also signed the Texas Competes pledge, vowing that this year's event will be the last one hosted in Texas if the bill passes.

Event staff can be identified by t-shirts/staff badges onsite and an organizer can be found at the event registration counter at any time.
