As OpenStack is a widely used cloud platform in Telecom and NFV environments the involvement of this area in the Community is crucial.
OpenStack Upstream Institute is an intensive, face-to-face training organized by the Foundation, held by community members and designed to share knowledge about the different ways of contributing to OpenStack like providing new features, writing documentation, participating in working groups, and so forth. The educational program is built on the principle of open collaboration and hands on learning. Students will learn how to find information and navigate the intricacies of the project’s technical tools and social interactions in order to become successful members of the Community. The attendees will learn how the ecosystem works, how they can leverage the tools for their daily work, how they can join or build a local community and much more in an interactive environment.
We bring you a version of the training that consists of two half-day-long classes and that focus on showing the entry points for everyone interested in getting involved regardless of their job role or level of experience with OpenStack. We will also highlight collaboration areas between OpenStack and OPNFV with the aim of further improving the collaboration between the two communities.
Please note there is no cost to participate. You will only be charged a cancellation/no-show fee of $50 if you do not cancel by 8:00 PST on Wednesday, June 7 or no-show for the event. To register, please click here, or log-in to your existing registration to add.
