What is the format of O3DECon 2021 and when will it take place?

O3DECon 2021 is a hybrid event that will take place in person with a virtual component from October 11-12. The event will deliver in-person AND online content.

What is a hybrid event and how can I attend?

Our hybrid event is an in-person event with a virtual component for those that cannot attend in person. We will take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of those who attend the event in person.

In-person passes include access to all workshops and breakout sessions. All in-person registrations also receive virtual event platform access.

Virtual all-access passes include access to the online event experience only.

For more information and pricing, visit the Register page.

What time zone will the event be in?

Live content will be held in the Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), UTC -7 time zone.

Where do I pick up my name badge?

Make sure you bring your registration confirmation with you when you pick up your badge. The event will take place at JW Marriott Live. Badge pick-up is located on in the Platinum Ballroom Foyer.

Registration hours are found on the schedule.

Name badges must be worn at all times and cannot be shared with other attendees.

What is the recommended attire?

Yes! All workshops and sessions will be recorded and uploaded to the O3D Foundation YouTube channel post-event so they are freely accessible to anyone, anywhere.

How do I access a speaker’s slides after the conference?

Any session slides provided by speakers will be added to the event schedule as they are received. While we encourage all speakers to share their slides, there may be instances where slides are not made available.

Do I need to sign up for breakout sessions?

To help us gauge the popularity of sessions, make final room assignments, and prevent overcrowding, we are asking everyone to take a moment to build your personal schedule via Sched. The more participation we have among pre-event schedule builders, the less chance session rooms will be standing room only.

To get started, please head to the schedule site and sign-up or log in if you already have an account. After logging in, peruse the schedule and when you see a session you’re interested in, simply click on the white circle next to the title. This will automatically add the session to your own personal schedule.

Lastly, for easy access back to your schedule, bookmark or add the mobile agenda to your phone home screen with this link. Please note, selecting a session in Sched does not guarantee you a seat in a breakout session.

Virtual Event

What is the cost for the virtual event and how do I register?

Information on registering can be found on our Register page.

How will the virtual sessions work?

All sessions will take place at the same scheduled times as the in-person event.  And of course, all sessions will be recorded and available to attendees on-demand after the event.

What are the system requirements needed to participate in the virtual event?

We are using the AccelEvents virtual event platform, and this is a web-based, HTML5 platform. Chrome is the preferred browser however when using an iPhone or an iPad, Safari may work better.

Live technical assistance will be available within the event platform during the event to help you troubleshoot any issues.

I attend mainly for networking. How is that possible in a virtual event?

We know how invaluable face-to-face networking is at events and we purposefully chose a virtual event platform that we felt most closely replicated the real-world capabilities for attendee networking at an event. Attendees will be able to connect with other in-person and online attendees in 1:1 chats.

How will the Event Code of Conduct be enforced in a virtual environment?

All participants must abide by the O3DECon Code of Conduct (CoC) in a virtual environment just as they will be expected to in person. We will be monitoring language and images throughout the platform to ensure there are no violations of the CoC, and quickly handle any that we might find. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns relating to harassment, please contact a member of the conference staff immediately:
