The Dan Kohn Scholarship application is now closed for in-person attendees. However, CNCF is supporting the community in the following ways:

Individual ticket pricing is available for anyone who is currently not working for a company, works for a non-profit or is attending in person at their own expense (i.e. not funded by a company).

CNCF is offering up to 200 complimentary in-person in-person All Access tickets* to support those affected by recent job loss or travel budget freezes. These tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis to those in need. Please email us at events@cncf.io with “Job Loss + Budget Freeze Ticket Offer” as the subject, for a special discount code.

*Offer Details:

  • In-Person All Access ticket (includes CNCF hosted co-located events)
  • One request/ticket per person in need
  • First come, first served up to the 200 ticket limit
  • Email must include “Job Loss or Budget Freeze Ticket Offer” in the subject line, and provide your first and last name plus email address you will use to register and details surrounding your need.

The Dan Kohn Scholarship Fund exists to support individuals who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend in four categories:

Including, but not limited to persons identifying as: LGBTQIA+, women, persons of color, and/or persons with disabilities.

Applicants should be active community members who are not being assisted or sponsored by a company or organization, and are unable to attend for financial reasons.

Applicants should be active CNCF project maintainers who are not being assisted or sponsored by a company or organization, and are unable to attend for financial reasons.

Applicants must be students currently enrolled in high school, college / university, or a coding course or bootcamp. (Available for Virtual Only)

Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of need and impact. Scholarships are NOT transferable to another person, or any other event. Selection will be made by an assembled group of reviewers who will assess each applicant’s request. Application information will be kept confidential.
