Convince Your Boss
Want to attend Open Networking Summit Europe 2018, but not sure how to bring it up with your boss? We’ve published a sample letter below to help make the process easier. See you in Amsterdam!
I’d like to attend the upcoming Open Networking Summit Europe Conference taking place September 25 – 27, in Amsterdam. I’ve researched many conferences, and this is THE conference for gathering enterprises, service providers and cloud providers across the ecosystem to share learnings, highlight innovation and discuss the future of Open Source Networking, including SDN, NFV, AI, orchestration and the automation of cloud, network, & IoT services.
Over 2000 of the most talented individuals in the industry gather together for this event – it’s like a pop-up think tank!
Here’s how I envision my attendance at Open Networking Summit Europe 2018 strengthening our company:
- I will establish myself as a Networking Innovator and Leader and reach other Executives, Technologists, Vendors, and Investors—both technical and business leaders
- Open Networking Summit Europe offers 100+ sessions including presentations, hands-on tutorials, deep-dive technical lectures, and visionary keynotes from industry leaders. Attending these sessions will allow me to build my knowledge and learn from other community members on best practices, find out more on how Networking is revolutionizing hot markets like AI, Containers, Microservices and IoT and learn more about how multiple Open Source and Open Standards Initiatives are all coming together.
- The infamous “hallway track” at Open Networking Summit Europe will allow me to meet the top technical minds in the ecosystem. I hope to meet others that might face the same challenges and problems I do so that we can work together to solve technical issues now and in the future. Creating strategic partnerships at the event could be very useful in the future when we encounter new challenges.
If I register before September 11, the fee is only USD$1195. Included in the registration fee is access to all keynotes and sessions, some co-located events, access to the sponsor technology showcase, hallway tracks and lounges, continental breakfast, morning and afternoon breaks, and other evening networking events.
I would be happy to write a post-conference report detailing what I’ve learned, and recommend any changes we can implement to improve our practices.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I hope we can make this opportunity work.
