Will you have vegan / gluten-free / dairy-free / Kosher / Halal, etc. meals available onsite?
We account for a portion of attendees that need vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals – these are typically readily available at all snack breaks, lunches, and receptions. No special order is required and you can indicate your preference/need during registration.
For those that need a special order meal such as Kosher or Halal, we do ask that you contact us so that we may place these orders in advance of the event. Most catering companies are unable to prepare/order these types of meals on the day they are needed as they are made in offsite kitchens. Note that we are also a peanut-free event. If you have another severe food allergy, please contact us. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your need(s).
Can my children under the age of 12 eat with me?
Yes, all children under the age of 12 are welcome to accompany you for all meals. We highly recommend enrolling your children in our free Child Care Program. Children enrolled in our Child Care Program will be escorted to the attendee lunch. Guest passes are available for children 12-20 at the rate of $200. Please visit the Registration page for guest pass information.
What is the policy on animals at the event?
Service animals are permitted.

Venue & Travel
How do I get to the conference?
For information about travel to the event, visit the Venue & Travel page.
How far from the airport is JSConf?
The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake is central to multiple airports. We recommend Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) which is approximately a 90-minute drive from the resort. Transportation details, including the free airport shuttle (only provided to/from BWI), are on the Venue & Travel page.
How do I get to the venue from the airport?
FREE Airport Shuttle – Reserve a seat on the JSConf airport shuttle, provided on Monday, October 13, and Friday, October 17. This service is only provided to/from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). Additional transportation options:
– Rent a car at your arrival airport and explore at your own pace.
– Uber, Lyft, etc. Ride share apps will cost $180 – $225 each way, depending on the time of day.
– Bay Runner Shuttle – $89 each way and picks up directly from the hotel
Should I rent a car?
A rental car is not necessary, though if your flights don’t coordinate with the free JSConf airport shuttle or the Bay Runner Shuttle, it is recommended. Rideshare apps will cost you $180 – $225 each way. If you choose to go off property and explore, this will be your best option. Taxis and rideshare options in Cambridge are limited.

No. Visit the Venue & Travel page for more information about how to make a hotel reservation.
Is parking available at the venue?
