Downtown Atlanta Ambassador Force

Need help navigating Downtown Atlanta? Whether you’re searching for directions, a local business or service, or if you’re seeking a safe escort to a downtown location, the Ambassador Force has you covered. Members of the friendly and helpful Ambassador Force are the ones in the red and blue uniforms riding Segways or All-Terrain Public Safety Bikes.

Patrol hours are 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM, Monday through Sunday, but may be adjusted to support large events. You can text the Ambassador Force to report a problem or request assistance. Text the request to 404-732-4200. This number is monitored seven days a week from 7:00 AM to midnight by Ambassador Communications.

  • Destination Guidance:
    Familiar with every corner of Downtown, Ambassadors can direct you along the best route—whether walking, driving, or taking MARTA—to your desired location.
  • Activity Recommendations:
    No matter if you have an hour, an afternoon, or even an entire weekend to explore, Ambassadors are ready to suggest the ideal attraction or activity to keep you entertained.
  • Medical Support:
    Trained to handle medical emergencies, Ambassadors maintain direct radio contact with emergency responders. Ambassadors can also point you to the nearest 24-hour pharmacy or healthcare facility.
  • Detailed Maps:
    Benefit from one of the most useful city tools—a comprehensive map featuring major attractions, hotels, dining spots, and key roadways.
  • Personal Escorts:
    While Downtown Atlanta is renowned for its safety, if you ever feel uneasy, simply approach an Ambassador. They’re more than willing to accompany you to your vehicle, hotel, or any other destination downtown. Don’t hesitate to ask for help.
