Speaker Guide

We welcome you as a speaker at PyTorch Day Japan 2026 in Tokyo, Japan, on 10 December.

You should have received registration information in your speaker notification email. If you need those details again, please contact Cassandra Reyes-Jones at [email protected].

If you require a Visa letter, please register and then complete the Visa letter request form.

Please note the following:

• Provision of a visa letter by The Linux Foundation does not guarantee visa approval, as final approval is made at the sole discretion of the government of the event’s host country.
• The Linux Foundation strongly recommends requesting a visa letter at your earliest possible convenience and contacting your local Embassy/Consulate with any visa questions you may have.
• The Linux Foundation processes most visa letter requests in (3) business days.

The schedule will be announced on Wednesday, 14 October, and posted on our website using Sessionize. Please sign in to Sessionize.com using the account associated with your session, or follow your speaker invitation sent by the event team; please upload your bio and photo if needed.

If you have a conflict with the timing of your talk, need to make a change to your session, or are having problems uploading your bio and photo, please contact Cassandra Reyes-Jones.

Please note the following technical requirements:

• All speakers must supply their own computers and HDMI adapter to use during their talk.
• Presentation slides should be formatted in 16:9
• The room will include a screen, projector, and (2) microphones

If you require additional AV, please email Cassandra Reyes-Jones with those needs by Wednesday, 4 November. The Linux Foundation will make every effort to accommodate other AV needs; however, final approval for additional AV requests will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Due by 9 December

Before the event, all speakers must upload their final presentation slides to Sessionize. In addition to providing a hard copy for accessibility purposes, we find that adding the presentations before the event helps to drive interest in attending the session.

Please note: This is not for use during your talk.  You will be presenting directly from your own computer. Your presentation slides should be uploaded as a PDF and formatted in 16:9.

If you want to use the PyTorch Day Japan 2026 PowerPoint template for your presentation, you can download it here. Please note that use of the template is optional.

To upload slides, follow these instructions:

• Upload a PDF version of your final slides in Sessionize.
  • Confirm your Participation for each Accepted Session in Sessionize
  • Within the Session, choose “Edit Session”
  • Navigate to the bottom of the page to upload your presentation
  • Click “Save Changes” in the upper right corner once you’ve uploaded your PDF.
  • Slides should be formatted in 16:9
• Or email a PDF of your presentation to [email protected], who will upload it on your behalf.

The Linux Foundation, in collaboration with the National Center for Women in Technology (NCWIT), has created an online course designed to teach the viewer about inclusion, diversity, and unconscious bias. We highly recommend all of our speakers watch the course to learn tips/tools to use when speaking to encourage inclusivity in presentations and messaging. 

Please read and abide by our Code of Conduct. Our code of conduct is strictly enforced. We ask that speakers especially review this code of conduct and are careful to be inclusive in the words and images used during their presentations.
