Linux Foundationのレジストレーション スカラーシップ（登録奨学金）はLinux Foundationイベントに参加する機会を持たない人々をするためのプログラムであり、以下の2種類があります。
- 伝統的に過小評価されたり、疎外されてきた人々のための「ダイバーシティ スカラーシップ」
- チケットを購入するための資金が不足しているコミュニティ メンバーのための「ニーズベース スカラーシップ」
スカラーシップの受領者には、選択したイベントに出席するための無料登録チケットが送られます。スカラーシップの基準は、ニーズとインパクトです。選考は、各応募者のリクエストを厳正に評価する専門の審査員グループによって行われます。
The Linux Foundation’s registration scholarship program exists to support individuals who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend Linux Foundation events in two categories:
- Diversity scholarships for traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized persons
- Need-based scholarships for community members who lack the funds to purchase their own ticket
Scholarship recipients will receive a complimentary registration pass to attend their selected event(s). Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of need and impact. Selection will be made by an assembled group of reviewers who will assess each applicant’s request.
応募資格
Eligibility Requirements
ダイバーシティ スカラーシップ：技術コミュニティやオープンソースコミュニティにおいて伝統的な少数派グループや過小評価されているグループに属し（たとえばLGBTQIA、女性である、肌の色が違う、障害があるなどがあげられるが、これらに限定されない）、経済的援助なしでは参加することができない方のみ応募できます。
ニーズベース スカラーシップ：オープンソース コミュニティのアクティブ メンバーでありながら、経済的理由のために参加できず、雇用主からの資金援助も受けられない方のみ応募できます。
申請者 1 人につき年間2つのスカラーシップまで認められています。
Diversity Scholarship: Applicants must be from a traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized group in the technology and/or open source communities including, but not limited to: persons identifying as LGBTQIA, women, persons of color, and/or persons with disabilities who are unable to attend without some financial assistance.
Need-Based Scholarship: Individuals who apply should be active members of the open source community who are unable to attend for financial reasons and are unable to get funding from their companies.
Applicants can be approved for up to 2 (two) scholarships per calendar year.
