Sample Letter

Dear {Name},

I’d like to attend the upcoming O3DECon 2021 taking place October 11-12, 2021, in Los Angeles, CA. I’ve researched many conferences and found that this is the official conference of the O3D Foundation whose mission is to build an open source, fully-featured, high-fidelity, realtime 3D engine for building games and simulations.

Nearly 500 talented individuals from across the ecosystem will gather to share learnings, highlight innovation, and discuss the future of bringing an open source 3D engine to the development community to create reliable secure open source code and accelerate development through collaboration.

Here’s how I envision my attendance at O3DECon strengthening our company:

  • O3DECon offers a variety of sessions, including presentations, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and deep-dive technical lectures from industry leaders. Attending these sessions will allow me to build my knowledge and learn from other community members on best practices, find out more on how to best collaborate in the gaming industry through building an open source engine.
  • Attending the various workshops at O3DECon will allow me to meet the top technical minds in the ecosystem. I hope to meet others that might face the same challenges and problems I do so that we can work together to solve technical issues now and in the future. Creating strategic partnerships at the event could be very useful in the future when we encounter new challenges.

You can learn more about the conference here.

If I register before August 20, the fee is only $99. Included in the registration fee is access to all workshops and sessions, access to the sponsor showcase, hallway tracks and lounges, and morning and afternoon breaks.

I would be happy to write a post-conference report detailing what I’ve learned, and recommend any changes we can implement to improve our practices.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I hope we can make this opportunity work.

Thanks,
{Your Name}
