September 28 – NOVEMBER 21

The Security Slam is a new event, partnered with Sonatype, for CNCF projects to improve their security posture while attracting new contributors through a fun and collaborative event leading up to KubeCon, with recognition, awards and giveaways at KubeCon.  With the assistance of Sonatype, maintainers and contributors will leverage CNCF’s CLOMonitor that measures each project’s progress toward meeting CNCF project standards. Maintainers and contributors will work together to raise their score and win prizes for their effort while raising up to $50,000 in Diversity Scholarships.

For each project that reaches 100% Security status a donation of $2,500 will also be made in the project’s name to CNCF’s Diversity Scholarship Fund, but it’s not just about the prizes, as each project reaches 100% Security will have significantly improved their project’s security and be close to CNCF’s overall security goals.

Google is donating up to $50,000, and we hope to make this the largest donation ever for our Diversity Scholarships!

This event provides a place for maintainers, contributors, and users of Keptn to come together and to discuss Keptn’s current state and its future evolution. This year, DaprCon will be a hybrid event allowing everyone to join either in-person at KubeCon or from the comfort of their home or office. For in-person attendees, you can join DaprCon Community Day the day of. For virtual attendees, you can catch all the awesome DaprCon content the next day on the Dapr YouTube channel!
