Sample Letter

Dear {Manager’s Name},

I’d like to attend the upcoming Linux Security Summit Europe taking place September 15-16, 2022 in Dublin, Ireland. I’ve researched many conferences and found that this is the ONLY technical forum for collaboration between Linux developers, researchers, and end-users with the primary aim of fostering community efforts to analyze and solve Linux security challenges.

Nearly 200 talented individuals from across the ecosystem will gather to share learnings, highlight innovation, and discuss the future of Linux security development.

Here’s how I envision my attendance at Linux Security Summit Europe strengthening our company:

  • Linux Security Summit Europe offers a variety of sessions, including presentations and deep-dive technical lectures from industry leaders. Attending these sessions will allow me to build my knowledge and learn from other community members on best practices.
  • The infamous “hallway track” at Linux Security Summit Europe will allow me to meet the top technical minds in the ecosystem. I hope to meet others that might face the same challenges and problems I do so that we can work together to solve technical issues now and in the future. Creating strategic partnerships at the event could be very useful in the future when we encounter new challenges.

You can learn more about the conference and view last year’s keynotes and other videos here.

If I register before July 5th, the fee is only $175. Included in the registration fee is access to all sessions, hallway tracks, continental breakfast, and morning and afternoon breaks.

I would be happy to write a post-conference report detailing what I’ve learned and recommend any changes we can implement to improve our practices.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I hope we can make this opportunity work.

Best regards,
{Your Name}
