OVERVIEW

We welcome you as a speaker for PyTorch Conference North America 2026 taking place October 20-21 at San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California.

VENUE LOCATION & HOTEL INFORMATION

PyTorch Conference North America 2026 is taking place October 20-21 at San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California. 

The Linux Foundation contracted rooms at the San Jose Marriott.  For booking details, please visit our Venue & Travel page.

VISA LETTER REQUEST

If you require a visa letter, please register for the event, and then complete the visa letter request form.

In addition, we ask that you please note the following:

  • Provision of a visa letter by The Linux Foundation does not guarantee visa approval, as final approval is made at the sole discretion of the government of the event’s host country.
  • The Linux Foundation strongly recommends requesting a visa letter at your earliest possible convenience and contacting your local Embassy/Consulate with any visa questions you may have.
  • All visa letter requests must be submitted no later than two weeks prior to the event. Any visa letter requests made after the two-week deadline cannot be guaranteed. The Linux Foundation processes most visa letter requests in (3) business days.

TRAVEL FUNDING

If you are applying for travel funding and have not submitted your request, please do so as soon as possible. The deadline for travel funding applications is August 23, 2026 at 11:59PM PT. (Note that talk acceptance does not guarantee travel funding.)

SCHEDULE & uploading Bio / Photo

The session schedule will be announced on Wednesday, July 23, and posted on our website using sched.com. The Poster Schedule will be announced on Tuesday, August 18. You will receive an email directly from sched.com asking you to create your account; please make sure to upload your bio and photo if needed.

If you have a conflict with the timing of your talk, find that it conflicts with the content of another presentation, or are having problems uploading your bio and photo, please contact [email protected].

Schedule Timing:

  • Session Presentations: 25 minutes
  • Lightning Talks: 10 Minutes
  • Poster Sessions: Tuesday, October 20, 5:45 PM – 7:15 PM
    • All posters will be on display throughout the day on Tuesday, October 20, allowing attendees to review the posters before poster sessions take place during the reception. You are only required to be at your poster during the Poster Sessions session, taking place during the reception.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Please refer to the schedule or your speaker notification to confirm the accepted format of your submission. In order to maximize content for the conference, some sessions were accepted by the program committee in an alternative format. If you are unable to present, please reach out to [email protected] as soon as possible. 

AV Details + Requirements

Any additional AV requests are due by Friday, September 18.

Please note the following technical requirements:

  • All speakers must supply their own computers and adapters to use during their talk
  • Speakers should format their presentation slides in 16:9  
  • You can download a conference-branded presentation template here; use of the template is optional.
  • The room will include a screen, projector, and (2) microphones.

If you require any additional AV, please email [email protected] with those needs by Friday, September 18. The Linux Foundation will make every effort to accommodate other AV needs; however, final approval for additional AV requests will be made case-by-case.

poster information

Poster Presenters are required to print and transport their own posters to the event.

SPECIFICATIONS

An optional template is available for download here. Posters are permitted to be a maximum size of 24inches x 34inches (approximately A1 format).

  • Size: 24inches x 34inches (A1 60cm x 84cm), printed one-sided
  • Technical Specs:
    • CMYK color
    • Ideal bitmap resolution is 100-150 DPI in final size
    • Individual files sizes smaller than 100MB

Caution: Do not change the paper size in the example template. It is intentionally set to a big size.

PRESENTATION TEMPLATE & SLIDE UPLOAD

Deadline to Upload Presentations: Monday, October 19

All speakers are asked to submit final presentation slides before the event. In addition to providing a hard copy for accessibility purposes, we find that adding the presentations before the event helps to drive interest in attending the session.

Please note that your presentation slides should be submitted in PDF format to Sched.com and must be formatted in 16:9. 

To upload slides:

  • Log into your PyTorch speaker profile through Sched.com
  • Go to your session within Sched.
  • Click on Session tools to the right of the session title
  • Underneath the session title, select Add Presentation.
  • Upload your pdf document (note: there is a 50MB size limit)
  • Or send them to [email protected], who will upload them on your behalf.

Inclusive Speaker Orientation Online Course

In collaboration with the National Center for Women in Technology (NCWIT), the Linux Foundation has created an online course designed to teach the viewer about inclusion, diversity, and unconscious bias. We highly recommend all of our speakers watch the course to learn tips/tools to use when speaking to encourage inclusivity in presentations and messaging. Please click here for the course
