Scholarships
To encourage and increase the participation of a diverse community, we are pleased to offer scholarships at our conference. There are two types of scholarships available to attendees:
Registration Scholarships
A limited number of complimentary registrations are available to enable community members to attend when they would otherwise be unable due to lack of funding. We place an emphasis on funding applicants who are from historically underrepresented or untapped groups and/or those of lower socioeconomic status. If you work for a company that has the ability to fund your registration fee, we ask that you not apply to save funds for those that need it.
To request a registration scholarship, email r-medicine-events@linuxfoundation.org, and provide a short description of why you are requesting a scholarship to attend R/Medicine including information on your personal and organization background, and explain how/why this conference will benefit your community.
Student Scholarships
Students have the option to pay $20 OR receive complimentary registration. To receive complimentary registration, students must provide a link to their resume or Data Science Portfolio, the resume must be a public link and agree to this being posted on a public website. During registration, select Virtual Student Scholarship as the registration type for the $0 registration fee.
