If you do plan on attending in person, please be aware that anyone coming on site must be vaccinated against COVID-19, and you can review that information on our Health + Safety page.

You should have received registration details in your acceptance email. If you need this information sent to you again, please contact the CNCF Content Team. If you are not registered by August 19, there is a possibility that your speaking slot will be replaced by one on our waiting list so please do so promptly.

Any co-speakers or panelists that are part of the original CFP submission will receive complimentary registration. Please contact the CNCF Content Team for details.

  • If you have a conflict with the timing of your talk, find that it conflicts with the content of another talk, or are having problems uploading your bio and photo, please contact the CNCF Content Team.

AV Details + Requirements

Please note the following technical requirements:

  • All speakers must supply their own computers and adapters to use during their talk.
  • Presentation slides should be formatted in 16:9.
  • The room will include a screen, projector, and (2) microphones; panelists will each receive their own microphones.
  • If you require any additional AV, please email the CNCF Content Team with those needs by Friday, September 23. CNCF will make every effort to accommodate additional AV needs; however, final approval for additional AV requests will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Track Hosts

Please be aware that you should arrive at your room no later than 15-minutes before your session begins and you will be greeted by a track host. Their role is to do a room count, help facilitate Q+A, and maintain the integrity of the session. Please email the CNCF Content Team if you have any questions regarding track hosts.

Professional Headshots

We are excited to provide attendees of KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2022 with the opportunity to get complimentary headshots taken by a professional photographer in a private setting. Conference speakers receive priority before headshots are offered to general attendees on a first come first serve basis. Please book your appointment at https://kccncna22headshots.youcanbook.me.

Please arrive at room 414B on Level 4 of Huntington Place 10 minutes before your booked appointment.

Don’t want to commit to a timeslot upfront? In addition to appointments with a professional photographer, a self-serve headshot booth is available in the Community Lounge of the Solutions Showcase (Halls A + B). Stop by the headshot booth and take pictures on your own time Wednesday through Friday during exhibit hours.

Presentation Details

All speakers are required to submit their final presentation slides ahead of the event. In addition to providing a hard copy for accessibility purposes, we find that adding the presentations before the event helps to drive interest in attending the session. The deadline for presentations is Friday, October 14.

To upload slides:

  • Log in to your speaker profile through Sched.com or via the mobile site
  • On the top of the page click “Manage and Promote Your Session”
  • Click “Add Presentation”
  • Click in the “Select a File” box and add the PDF document (note: there is a 50MB size limit)
  • Click “Upload” and your slides will automatically be saved

We designed an optional PowerPoint template for our speakers. Use of this template is not required but we do welcome you to use it for your convenience. Please note that your presentation slides should be uploaded in PDF-format to Sched.com and must be formatted in 16:9.

Please see the CNCF style guide which covers things like abbreviating Kubernetes as K8s not K8 or K8S.

Lightning Talks

Lightning talks will be held Tuesday, October 25 with each talk lasting no longer than 5 minutes. To minimize the transition times, we are combining all pre-recorded talks and in-person presentation decks into one master lightning talk presentation. This also means that speakers will not be able to connect their computer via HDMI to the screen, so please include all presentation material on your slide deck. The order of the Tuesday lightning talks will take place in the order listed on the schedule (subject to change).

  • All in-person lightning talk speakers must submit their PowerPoint slide deck to our Lightning Talk Folder by 11:59 PM PDT on Friday, September 30
  • Your deck must be 16:9 and in .pptx format
  • If your slides require a special font, please submit that along with your deck
  • There will be a confidence monitor to view your current slide, but no additional monitor for notes
  • Do not embed any videos, please also submit those along with your deck
  • Please note that unfortunately, we cannot accept a pdf document.

If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the CNCF Content Team.
