Sample Letter
Dear {Name},
I’d like to attend the upcoming Linux Security Summit North America taking place June 23-24 in Austin, Texas. I’ve researched many conferences and found that this is the technical forum for collaboration between Linux developers, researchers, and end-users. Its primary aim is to foster community efforts in analyzing and solving Linux security challenges
LSS is where over 200 Linux security community members and maintainers gather to present their work and discuss research with peers, joined by those who wish to keep up with the latest in Linux security development and who would like to provide input to the development process.
Here’s how I envision my attendance at Linux Security Summit strengthening our company:
- Linux Security Summit offers a variety of sessions, including General Sessions + Refereed Presentations + Short Topics from industry leaders. Attending these sessions will allow me to build my knowledge and learn from other community members on best practices.
- The infamous “hallway track” at Linux Security Summit will allow me to meet the top technical minds in the ecosystem. I hope to meet others that might face the same challenges and problems I do so that we can work together to solve technical issues now and in the future. Creating strategic partnerships at the event could be very useful in the future when we encounter new challenges.
You can learn more about the conference and view last year’s keynotes and other videos here.
If I register before April 26, the fee is only $175. Included in the registration fee is access to all sessions, the hallway track, continental breakfast, and morning and afternoon breaks.
I would be happy to write a post-conference report detailing what I’ve learned and recommend any changes we can implement to improve our practices.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I hope we can make this opportunity work.
Thanks,
{Your Name}
