This half-day primer is your launchpad into the cloud native universe. You’ll get grounded in the key technologies, core concepts, and welcoming community that make up the CNCF and its ever-growing landscape.

Whether you’re brand new to cloud native, a first-time KubeCon attendee, or both—Cloud Native University will help you build the context, confidence, and connections to make the most of your KubeCon experience and long-term journey in this space.

This event is one of our KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America CNCF-hosted Co-located Events. In-person attendees have the option to register for an All-Access In-Person KubeCon + CloudNativeCon pass that will include entry to ALL CNCF-hosted co-located events + KubeCon + CloudNativeCon.

  • CNCF Governance: How the GB, TOC, and TAB shape the community
  • Business Value: Aligning cloud native with measurable business outcomes
  • Cloud Native Terminology: Demystifying “platform,” “DevEx,” and other key terms
  • AI & ML in Cloud Native: Core concepts and considerations for implementation

Submission Types:

  • Presentation: 25 minutes with 1 or 2 speakers presenting on a topic
  • Panel Discussion: 35 minutes of discussion amongst 3 to 5 speakers (In an effort to promote speaker diversity, CNCF does not accept submissions with all-male panels, and three different organizations must be represented).
  • Lightning Talk: A brief 10 minute presentation with a maximum of 1 speaker
