Carl Meadows is the Director of Product for Amazon OpenSearch Service and the OpenSearch Project.

Corey is a principal architect at NVIDIA, leading engineering for vector search and data mining libraries. Prior to NVIDIA, Corey spent over a decade building massive-scale exploratory data science & real-time analytics platforms for big-data and HPC environments in the defense industry. Corey holds Bs. & Ms. degrees in Computer Science. He is also a Ph.D candidate in the same discipline, focused on the acceleration of algorithms at the intersection of graph and machine learning. Corey has a passion for using data to make better sense of the world.

Mehul A. Shah is the Co-Founder of Aryn.ai. While everyone is working with AI these days, his background includes large-scale data management, distributed computing, and energy efficient computing. Prior to Aryn, Mehul was VP, Eng in Google Cloud, and GM of several AWS services: Glue, Lake Formation, and OpenSearch (Elasticsearch). His previous startup, Amiato, was acquired by Amazon. Before that, Mehul was a researcher at HP Labs, and he received a PhD from U.C. Berkeley and a MEng and B.S. from MIT in CS and Physics.

Shanshan Song is a Senior Director of Engineering at Uber Inc., where she leads the Storage, Search, and Data organization. Her team plays a pivotal role in powering Uber’s online trip serving services and offline data analysis, leveraging open-source technologies to make critical business decisions daily. Shanshan’s organization is responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of essential data infrastructure services, including Kafka, Flink, Pinot; data analytics services such as Spark and Presto; database services like Docstore, MySQL, Redis, and Cassandra. Additionally, her team develops and manages search solutions like Sia and Opensearch.

Before joining Uber, Shanshan was with VMware, where she contributed to the vSphere team by building the vCenter Server Appliance, a product that powers nearly 50% of data centers worldwide. Prior to her tenure at VMware, she worked at Oracle as a database kernel engineer. Shanshan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
