About the Better Together Diversity Social
The Better Together Diversity Social offers the opportunity for all underrepresented minorities (including race, gender, sexual orientation and dis/ability) to join together to build connections to carry through the event and beyond. Our hope is that this event will help to continue to increase the diversity both at the event as well as in the open source community as time goes on.
Who Can Attend?
This event welcomes our attendees that are underrepresented minorities in tech; women and non-binary, people of color, LGBTQA+, and people with dis/abilities. Please join us to connect and share experiences.
Is This Event Open to Allies?
No. Allies are incredibly important to further diversity in tech and the world, however, at this time, we’ve chosen to limit attendance to underrepresented minorities in tech, to provide this community a dedicated space to share their unique experiences and perspectives.
We encourage allies to support diversity in tech while at the event by participating in the Diversity Empowerment Summit, and by seeking out and engaging with diverse attendees onsite.

Partner Reception (Invite Only)
Monday, September 27 | 6:30 – 9:30 PM | Chihuly Garden and Glass
Speakers and media will gather for drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and networking at the Partner Reception. The Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibition showcases the world-renowned art of Dale Chihuly. The Exhibition includes eight galleries, the centerpiece Glasshouse, and a lush garden, all of which invited guests will have exclusive access to.
*Transportation will be provided from the Hyatt Regency beginning at 6:15 PM.

Wednesday, September 29 | 6:30 – 9:30 PM | Museum of Pop Culture
All attendees are invited to join us for food, drinks and some incredible exhibitions at the Museum of Pop Culture! Founded in 2000 and known as MoPOP, the museum is a nonprofit dedicated to contemporary popular culture.
There is so much to experience at MoPop including Sky Church which showcases a 33’ x 60’ HD LED screen, the Jimi Hendrix exhibit, Wild Blue Angel: Hendrix Abroad and the featured exhibition, Heroes and Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume.
