Joe Frazier is the Head of Architecture and Platform Engineering for Fidelity Investments, a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing, and other financial products and services to more than 43 million individuals, institutions, and financial intermediaries.
In his current role, Joe leads the firmwide delivery of best-in-class cloud and platform engineering, developer enablement, and architectural standards. As a member of Fidelity’s CIO council, he is responsible for setting and governing the firm’s overall technology strategy and direction. In 2014, Joe was selected as one of Fidelity’s first IT Fellows.
Throughout his career with Fidelity, Joe has demonstrated a passion for the successful delivery and adoption of new and emerging technologies across Fidelity. Since joining the firm in 1994, Joe has held several engineering and architecture positions in most of the firm’s business units, including roles in Brokerage, Workplace Investing, Fund Accounting, Tax Exempt Markets, and Enterprise Technology. Prior to his current role, Joe was the Head of Cloud & Platform Engineering for Fidelity, where he led the cloud adoption program, the evolution of their Digital Platform, and the modernization and stabilization of their application portfolio.
Joe received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Siena College and an MBA in Management Information Systems from Questrom School of Business at Boston University.
