私は、12月5日～6日に横浜で開催されるOpen Source Summit Japanに参加を希望しています。多くのカンファレンスを調査した結果、これはオープンソース開発者、技術者、コミュニティ リーダーが協力し、情報を共有し、問題を解決し、知識を高めることで、オープンソースのイノベーションを促進し、サステナブルなオープンソース エコシステムを確保できる最高のイベントであることがわかりました。

エコシステム全体から約 1,000 人の有能な人々が集まり、学んだことを共有し、イノベーションを強化し、オープンソースの未来について議論します。この議論の対象となるオープンソースには、Linux、組み込み Linux、IoT、クラウド ネイティブ、コンテナ、サプライチェーン セキュリティ、コミュニティ リーダーシップ、AI&データのほか、新しいオープン ソース プロジェクトなども含まれています。

10月24日までは、早期登録料金$375で登録できます。登録料には、2日間の基調講演とセッションへのアクセス、スポンサー ショーケースへのアクセス、ホールウェイ トラックとラウンジへのアクセス、コンチネンタル ブレックファスト、モーニング&アフタヌーン ブレイクが含まれています。また、オンサイト レセプションやその他のネットワーキング イベントへの参加も含まれています。

カンファレンス後には、学んだことを詳述したレポートを書き、当社の手法の改善点があれば提案したいと思います。

I’d like to attend the upcoming Open Source Summit Japan taking place December 5-6, 2022, in Yokohama, Japan. I’ve researched many conferences and found that this is the premier event for open source developers, technologists, and community leaders to collaborate, share information, solve problems, and gain knowledge, furthering open source innovation and ensuring a sustainable open source ecosystem.

Nearly 1,000 talented individuals from across the ecosystem will gather to share learnings, highlight innovation, and discuss the future of open source — including Linux, Embedded Linux, IoT, Cloud Native, Containers, Supply Chain Security, Community Leadership, AI & Data, New & Emerging Open Source Projects, and so much more. 

Here’s how I envision my attendance at Open Source Summit Japan strengthening our company:

• Open Source Summit Japan offers a variety of sessions, including presentations, hands-on tutorials, deep-dive technical lectures, and visionary keynotes from industry leaders. Attending these sessions will allow me to build my knowledge and learn from other community members on best practices. 
• The infamous “hallway track” at Open Source Summit Japan will allow me to meet the top technical minds in the ecosystem. I hope to meet others that might face the same challenges and problems I do so that we can work together to solve technical issues now and in the future. Creating strategic partnerships at the event could be very useful in the future when we encounter new challenges.

If I register before October 24, the fee is only $375USD. Included in the registration fee are access to all 2 days of keynotes and sessions, access to the sponsor showcase, hallway tracks and lounges, continental breakfast, and morning and afternoon breaks. It also includes entrance to the onsite reception and other networking events.

I would be happy to write a post-conference report detailing what I’ve learned and recommend any changes we can implement to improve our practices.
