Did the format for co-located events change?

While some things about the CNCF-hosted co-located events will remain the same, the way that you register and attend the events has been updated! KubeCon + CloudNativeCon CNCF-hosted co-located events will now take place on a single day. The “All-Access Pass” provides attendees with the option to attend any CNCF-hosted co-located event they would like on that day. For more details on these events, review the various FAQs.

What is the value of participating in this event?

We believe everyone will find value in joining us for the high-quality content that is expected from a KubeCon + CloudNativeCon event. Our open source communities inspire us to be resilient – to adapt and thrive with speed and consideration, immersed in the goal of bringing together a distributed group of people from around the globe. It’s in the DNA of the open source community to connect, learn and collaborate, therefore, what better place to do so than one of the premier open source developer conferences in the world?

Do I have to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide a negative COVID-19 test to attend the event in person?

No. There will be no proof of vaccination or negative test results required to attend the event. All attendees  will need to comply with our onsite health measures in accordance with our Code of Conduct. Read more about our Health + Safety guidelines.

What is the cost for the event and how do I register?

There are registration options fit for all!

There are two ticket-type options – All-Access which includes CNCF-hosted co-located events on Tuesday, 19 March, and KubeCon + CloudNativeCon ONLY – as well as early bird, standard, late, and onsite pricing tiers for each.

Where is the event taking place? What is the time zone for the event?

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2024 will take place in Paris, France, at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Content will begin daily at 8:00 or 9:00 Central European Time (CET) over four consecutive days. The online schedule will automatically display in CET. To see the schedule in your preferred time zone, select the time zone from the drop-down menu to the right, above “Filter by Date.”

Will you have vegan / gluten-free / dairy-free / Kosher / Halal, etc. meals available onsite?

We account for a portion of attendees that need vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals – these are typically readily available at all snack breaks, lunches, and receptions. No special order is required and you can indicate your preference/need during registration.

For those that need a special order meal such as Kosher or Halal, we do ask that you contact us so that we may place these orders in advance of the event. Most catering companies are unable to prepare/order these types of meals on the day they are needed as they are made in offsite kitchens. Note that we are also a peanut-free event. If you have another severe food allergy, please contact us. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your need(s).

What safety measures will be taken onsite for in-person attendees?

Review our Health + Safety guidelines for current information.

How do I join the keynote live stream?

Keynote live streaming sign ups will be available 2 weeks prior to the event.

Will the event include captioning?

Can I bring my child with me to my session?

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon is a professional conference. If you’d like to bring your child to a session or two for a special reason (e.g. family/friend is speaking, interest in the subject) we will allow an exception but we ask for respect of the other attendees and their onsite experience. If needed, we do offer onsite child care. Please note that you must sign your child up in advance and sign-ups do close approximately one month in advance of the event.

Health + Safety

Check out our Health + Safety guidelines for up-to-date details.

What is the difference between the All-Access pass and the KubeCon + CloudNativeCon ONLY pass?

The all-access pass type includes access to all CNCF-hosted co-located events taking place on Tuesday, 19 March as well as the full three days of the main event, including keynotes, breakouts, and the solutions showcase.. There is no need to register for or select a specific co-located event in advance.

The KubeCon + CloudNativeCon ONLY ticket type gives access to the full three days of the event, including keynotes, breakouts, and the solutions showcase. This ticket type does NOT allow for access to the CNCF-hosted co-located events on Tuesday, 19 March.

What is the difference between the Corporate / Individual / Academic pass types?

The “corporate” registration type is for attendees whose company is paying for in-person attendance to KubeCon + CloudNativeCon. This includes for-profit companies and government employees. You will help keep the conference affordable for everyone, especially students and those needing financial aid.

The “individual” registration type is solely for registrants who are currently not working for a company, work for a non-profit, or are attending in person at their own expense (i.e. not funded by a company). You will receive confirmation within five business days of registering if your Individual registration is approved or needs additional information.

The “academic” registration type is for current full-time students and faculty members. Full-time faculty and students will need to upload a valid copy of their Faculty or Student ID when registering.

Are co-located events included in the price of my registration?

The In-Person All-Access pass type includes access to all CNCF-hosted co-located events on Tuesday, 19 March.

With an In-Person All-Access pass you can attend any co-located event of your choice when you are onsite on Tuesday, 19 March. If you are registered for an In-Person KubeCon + CloudNativeCon ONLY pass, you can sign into your registration using your confirmation number to change pass types. You can find your confirmation number in your confirmation email or by clicking on the Cvent login page requesting to have your confirmation number emailed to you.

Can CNCF send me an invitation letter for the conference as proof for my visa?

We do offer visa invitation letters to attendees that are registered to attend an event. Provision of a visa letter by The Linux Foundation does not guarantee visa approval, which is made at the sole discretion of the government of the event’s host country. We suggest reaching out to your local embassy or consulate to see if there is enough time to receive a visa letter before the event.

If I cannot attend the event, can I substitute someone from my company to attend in my place?

Yes, you can transfer your pass to another person at your company if you are unable to attend. If you need to modify, substitute, or cancel your registration, sign into your registration using your confirmation number. You can find your confirmation number in your confirmation email or by clicking on the Cvent login page requesting to have your confirmation number emailed to you.

I’d like to attend the event but can’t afford it. Do you offer any assistance?

Yes! The Cloud Native Computing Foundation is proud to offer diversity and need-based scholarships. Applications must be submitted by Sunday, 7 January  at 11:59 Pacific Time. Learn more

If I purchased one type of event pass, can I change to another type?

Yes, you can change your pass type up to the first day of the event. Simply sign into your registration using your confirmation number and “unregister” as that pass type. Then re-register for the pass you would like and make your payment. You can find your confirmation number in your confirmation email or by clicking on the Cvent login page requesting to have your confirmation number emailed to you.
