Where is the event taking place, and what time zone will the event be in?

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon India is an in-person event that will take place on 11-12 December in Delhi, India. The event will be held in Indian Standard Time (IST) – GMT+5.5.

Is there a virtual component to the event?

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon India does not have a virtual component and is an in-person event. All breakout and keynote sessions will be recorded, and recordings will be publicly available on the CNCF YouTube channel for anyone that is unable to attend. 

What is the value of participating in this event?

We believe everyone will find value in joining us for the high-quality content that is expected from a KubeCon + CloudNativeCon event. Are there any additional events or networking I can attend?

Projects and Working Groups under the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) umbrella have the opportunity to engage, network and collaborate with peers and like-minded people in the cloud native community at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon India in Delhi from 11-12 December 2024. Participating in this event allows you to gain valuable mind share of a targeted audience while engaging with developers, architects, and technical leaders. Learn more.

The Maintainer Summit will take place on 10 December. The CNCF Maintainer Summit is an exclusive event for the people behind our projects to gather face-to-face, collaborate, and celebrate the projects that make “Cloud Native”. Programming will be focused around sharing best practices, diving into contributing processes, and solving common problems across projects to enrich our great community of maintainers. What meals will be provided for attendees?

A morning and afternoon snack, and lunch will be provided on 11-12 December. There will also be an evening reception on 11 December that we encourage all attendees to attend!

Will you have vegan / gluten-free / dairy-free / Kosher / Halal /Jain Vegetarian, etc. meals available onsite?

We account for a portion of attendees that need vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals – these are typically readily available at all snack breaks, lunches, and receptions. No special order is required and you can indicate your preference/need during registration.

All food provided during the event will be Halal.

For those that need a special order meal such as Kosher or Jain Vegetarian, we do ask that you contact us so that we may place these orders in advance of the event. Most catering companies are unable to prepare/order these types of meals on the day they are needed as they are made in offsite kitchens. Note that we are also a peanut-free event. If you have another severe food allergy, please contact us. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your need(s).

Do you have any volunteer opportunities available?

Thank you for your interest in attending and volunteering at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon. We do not have any volunteer positions available, however, we encourage you to apply for a scholarship. Anyone may apply for the diversity or need-based scholarships. In addition, we offer an academic rate for current full-time students and faculty members.

Can I bring my child with me to my session?

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon is a professional conference. If you’d like to bring your child to a session or two for a special reason (e.g. family/friend is speaking, interest in the subject) we will allow an exception but we ask for respect of the other attendees and their onsite experience. To request an exception, please contact us.

If needed, we do offer onsite child care. Please note that you must sign your child up in advance and sign-ups do close approximately one month in advance of the event.

What is the recommended attire?

There is no set dress code and, like many open source events, attendees will dress in a range, from jeans to suits. Our recommendation is business casual; jeans are acceptable. Please wear layers; conference rooms tend to get cold.

What is the policy on animals at the event?

Service animals are permitted.

Will the event include captioning?

Yes! Captioning will be available for keynote sessions.

Will all sessions be recorded?

Yes! All sessions will be uploaded to the CNCF YouTube channel within two weeks of the event so they are accessible to anyone, anywhere.

How do I access a speaker’s slides after the conference?

Any session slides provided by speakers will be added to the event schedule as they are received. While we encourage all speakers to share their slides, there may be instances where slides are not made available.

In what language should I submit a CFP?

Please submit in English.

Registration

How can I register for the event, and what is the cost to attend?

There are registration options fit for all! Information on registration fees and ticket types can be found on our Register page.

What is the difference between the Corporate / Individual / Academic pass types?

The “corporate” registration type is for attendees whose company is paying for attendance to KubeCon + CloudNativeCon. This includes for-profit companies and government employees. You will help keep the conference affordable for everyone, especially students and those needing financial aid.

The “individual” registration type is solely for registrants who are currently not working for a company, work for a non-profit, or are attending in person at their own expense (i.e. not funded by a company). You will receive confirmation within five business days of registering if your
Individual registration is approved or needs additional information.

The “academic” registration type is for current full-time students and faculty members. Full-time faculty and students will need to upload a valid copy of their Faculty or Student ID when registering.

Can I register onsite?

Yes – if you did not have a chance to register online before the event, you may register on-site. Please note that the registration process on-site may take 10-15 minutes. We will only be able to accept credit card payments.

Are there media passes available?

Yes, If you are a member of the media interested in attending this event and have not received a complimentary access code to attend, please contact pr@cncf.io and a member of our PR team will be in touch.

Who can I contact about questions or problems regarding my registration?

Please submit a ticket using Event Support.

What are the cancellation, refund, and substitution policies?

Our registration policies can be found on our Register page.

I can’t / don’t want to use my credit card for registration. What should I do?

If you are unable to pay by credit card, please submit a ticket using Event Support – indicate the conference name you are interested in attending and request to be invoiced for registration.

I’d like to attend the event but can’t afford it. Do you offer any assistance?

Can CNCF send me an invitation letter for the conference as proof for my visa?

We do offer visa invitation letters to attendees that are registered to attend an event. Provision of a visa letter by The Linux Foundation does not guarantee visa approval, which is made at the sole discretion of the government of the event’s host country. We suggest reaching out to your local embassy or consulate to see if there is enough time to receive a visa letter before the event.

To assist with international attendees obtaining a Conference Visa for KubeCon + CloudNativeCon India 2024, the visa team will need to collect the following fields in addition to the visa letter request form:

  • Nationality
  • Passport Issue Date
  • Passport Expiration Date
  • Place of Issue of Passport

After completion of the visa letter request, international attendees can expect an email from our Visa Letters team requesting these additional fields.

Is registration for Linux Foundation Events GDPR compliant?

Yes. If you would like to request that your data be removed from the Linux Foundation event registration system, please email gdpr@linuxfoundation.org. If you have questions about GDPR, you can reach us at privacy@linuxfoundation.org.
