What is the value of participating in this event?

We believe everyone will find value in joining us for the high-quality content that is expected from a KubeCon + CloudNativeCon + Open Source Summit + AI_dev event. Our communities inspire us to be resilient – to adapt and thrive with speed and consideration, immersed in the goal of bringing together a distributed group of people from around the globe. It’s in the DNA of the open source community to connect, learn and collaborate, therefore, what better place to do so than one of the premier open source developer conferences in the world?

Live content will begin daily at 8:00 or 9:00 Hong Kong Time (HKT) with content over three consecutive days. The online schedule will automatically display in HKT. To see the schedule in your preferred time zone, select the time zone from the drop-down menu to the right, above “Filter by Date.”

Will you have vegan / gluten-free / dairy-free / Kosher / Halal, etc. meals available onsite?

We account for a portion of attendees that need vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals – these are typically readily available at all snack breaks, lunches, and receptions. No special order is required and you can indicate your preference/need during registration.

For those that need a special order meal such as Kosher or Halal, we do ask that you contact us so that we may place these orders in advance of the event. Most catering companies are unable to prepare/order these types of meals on the day they are needed as they are made in offsite kitchens.

Note that we are also a peanut-free event. If you have another severe food allergy, please contact us. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your need(s).

Can I bring my child with me to my session?

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon + Open Source Summit + AI_dev is a professional conference. If you’d like to bring your child to a session or two for a special reason (e.g. family/friend is speaking, interest in the subject) we will allow an exception but we ask for respect of the other attendees and their onsite experience. If needed, we do offer onsite child care. Please note that you must sign your child up in advance and sign-ups do close approximately one month in advance of the event.

What safety measures will be taken onsite for in-person attendees?

REGISTRATION

What is the cost for the event and how do I register?

There are registration options fit for all!

There are five pass options – the All-Access Corporate pass, Corporate day passes, All-Access Individual pass, Individual day passes, and the All-Access Academic pass. See details on the registration page for which best fits your needs. We also have early bird, standard, and late/onsite pricing tiers for each.

Keynote livestreaming, 21-23 August, is complimentary. Information to sign up is coming soon!

What is the difference between the Corporate / Individual / Academic pass types?

The “corporate” registration type is for attendees whose company is paying for attendance to the event. This includes for-profit companies and government employees. You will help keep the conference affordable for everyone, especially students and those needing financial aid.

The “individual” registration type is solely for registrants who are currently not working for a company, work for a non-profit, or are attending in person at their own expense (i.e. not funded by a company). You will receive confirmation within five business days of registering if your Individual registration is approved or needs additional information.

The “academic” registration type is for current full-time students and faculty members. Full-time faculty and students will need to upload a valid copy of their Faculty or Student ID when registering.

Can CNCF send me an invitation letter for the conference as proof for my visa?

We do offer visa invitation letters to attendees that are registered to attend an event. Provision of a visa letter by The Linux Foundation does not guarantee visa approval, which is made at the sole discretion of the government of the event’s host country. We suggest reaching out to your local embassy or consulate to see if there is enough time to receive a visa letter before the event.

If I cannot attend the event, can I substitute someone from my company to attend in my place?

Yes, you can transfer your pass to another person at your company if you are unable to attend. If you need to modify, substitute, or cancel your registration, sign into your registration using your confirmation number. You can find your confirmation number in your confirmation email or by clicking on the Cvent login page requesting to have your confirmation number emailed to you.

I’d like to attend the event but can’t afford it. Do you offer any assistance?

Yes! The Cloud Native Computing Foundation is proud to offer diversity and need-based scholarships. Learn more.

If I purchased one type of event pass, can I change to another type?

Then re-register for the pass you would like and make your payment. You can find your confirmation number in your confirmation email or by clicking on the Cvent login page requesting to have your confirmation number emailed to you.
